The doctors believe that Jeremy has an infection that is causing him to have breathing troubles. Last night he had a couple of apnea issues where he stopped breathing for a couple seconds. He was placed on the cpap machine, which is a large mask that pushes the air into his lungs. Jeremy really hates the mask and often tries to knock it off.
Jeremy will continue to be on the antibiotics until Saturday. They will take him off the cpap machine today and switch to a smaller forced air mask and see how he does. We do know that Jeremy will be on a monitor for six to eight weeks after we take him home just to make sure that he keeps breathing. That will be a relief to us because we would be able to not stare at his chest the whole time to make sure he is breathing.
We will try and post updates here to keep everyone informed. We appreciate the calls and text messages, but if we don't get around to calling back, please don't be offended. Please continue to pray for our family.
