Then his machine is another story. It has gone off many times, but none have been a true problem(thankfully). The leads have fallen off or moved at some point and the alarm starts. Luckily you can silence the alarm for the connection. The machine has also gone off for his breathing. The first few times it was because the leads weren't high enough on him. The other times you are holding him and can see him breathing, but for some reason it's not detecting his breathing. When we were coming home from the hospital, the machine didn't like Jeremy's position in the carseat so it went off a few times. The annoying thing is that you can't turn the alarm off when it's a heart or breathing alarm. The problem has to be fixed before the alarm will stop. Then a red light stays on until you reset it. This way if you are in the shower and didn't hear the alarm you can at least see that it went off and what kind of problem it was. I can imagine it being extremely stressful if there actually is a problem and you have that beeping in your ear.
I am grateful to have the alarm because last night I decided it's time for Jeremy to sleep in his room if Graig and I want any rest. It is nice to have the breathing alarm as well as a baby monitor. This way we don't have to move any equipment when Jeremy has a meltdown. He goes from sleeping baby to extremely upset in 10 seconds. It makes it really easy to change his diaper before he eats. But last night was so much better than Saturday. Jeremy slept in between feedings. Plus the highlight was when Graig gave him a bottle so I could sleep. Tonight I hope Graig turns the baby monitor off or at least takes it with him so I don't have to hear what is going on in there. I didn't want to turn it off because I would be afraid to sleep through it and not turn it back on when Graig came back in the room.
Today we are going to the grocery store. I know it's a big adventure. We are out of a lot of the basics. I need to turn in my maternity leave paperwork (since it's been 10 days already). Plus the little guy needs a new humidifier because our old one is not up to Jeremy's standard.
We haven't taken a lot of pictures since we got Jeremy in our room on Friday. But here are a few of the ones we have. Jeremy prefers to sleep with his arms up as you can see. Or another fun thing is he like to turn to his side and sleep when I put him on his back. Isn't he too young to be doing that?

Hi Amy,
I am glad things are going well. I kicked Anna out of our room after about a week. Babies are so loud when they sleep. I hope the monitor isn't too bad, but at least you know he is safe. Just keep resting and take any help you can get. He is so cute by the way, I don't think I had told you that yet. Take lots of pictures. Pretty soon you won't remember how small he was.
