More Diaper Changing Fun

Jeremy, Amy and I still don't have diaper changing down to a science yet. Sometimes it is our fault, where we just put the diaper on incorrectly, sometimes it is Jeremy's fault when there are accidents. One adjustment that we are making is moving him on up to the next size of diapers. We briefly moved him up a diaper size on Sunday, but it looked to big on him. Later that day when we switched him back to the newborn size, he ended up having a leak.

Jeremy is going through about 10 diapers a day and that might be a low estimate. Over the weekend I counted for twelve hours and he had gone through 7 diapers. I didn't count for the rest of the day, so it is possible he used another 7. Also during the weekend, when Amy was changing Jeremy's diaper, he decided that it would be a perfect time to pee. Luckily for Amy, he was pointing away from her and Jeremy got it all over himself. Amy took charge of the situation and walked away telling me I could change him. (She actually didn't give up, she went to get cleaning supplies).

We had to give him a bath after that and he was cooperative as ever. He had a bowel movement on the towel, peed again and spit-up. The good news for us was that all of those actions happened before we had soaped him up.

On Friday, Amy and I took Jeremy to my old place of employment and my current place of employment. It helps that they are only about 500 yards apart. At the House of Representatives, most of my former co-workers are not married nor do they have much kid experience. They were definitely nervous to hold Jeremy. Amy and I made sure that they held him, partially for us to have a break. One of my friends, with an extreme Southernish accent likes to call him Germy. Apparently, people make fun of her and rightly so.

Saturday Graig's friend Dan came over with his girlfriend Emily to watch the Purdue-Indiana game. We had Jeremy dressed in his Purdue attire set to cheer on the Boilermakers. Thankfully Purdue won by 52, so it was an exciting game to watch. Below, Jeremy is celebrating one of Purdue's 8 touchdowns.

Today I went back to work full time, it was weird to be gone from my little buddy for the whole day. Amy survived just fine though, it turns out he slept for most of the day. Here's hoping for an exciting night.

Twinkle still hasn't figured all of this baby stuff out yet.
