Last Night

Jeremy did really well last night. He didn't have any drops in his breathing or heart rate. He also ate quite a bit and seems to be very content at the moment. I'm waiting for the doctor to come and do his rounds, but I don't think he will say anything new. Just continue to finish his 7 day course of antibiotics and keep working on feeding him. I hope he doesn't need anything more by IV because he is completely out of access. Tomorrow morning we are having our training on his apnea machine. From what the nurses tell me, it has a very high pitch and is very loud when it goes off. It's a good thing we don't have a dog. I wonder how Twinkle will handle it. She isn't so happy that she sees us for about an hour a day. But pretty soon (hopefully) she will be sick of us always being around.

Also I'm not the only one who thinks Jeremy is a strong little guy. The nurses (which have gotten to know him pretty well) are so amazed at his arm strength. Of course this is when they are trying to hold him down for his IV line or picc line, so Jeremy isn't being extremely helpful when he tries to fight back. Apparently most babies don't require so much resistant from the nurses. There is no way that he got his arm strength from me, since I get tired lifting up something that is 10 pounds.

What awesome news that Jeremy is doing better! The apnea machine isn't hard to do. We used one with he little boy I babysat--and yes the alarm is very high pitched and the dog was not fond of it! :) Try to get some sleep and give the little guy some hugs and kisses for us!

That is such wonderful news. Wonderful to hear what a strong will that little boy has. I cannot wait to see and hold him again!

I am glad to hear that things are going so well! Jeremy is a strong little boy and will be home before you know it! Keep your head up - - I know it can be tough being in the hospital for a while!
