Thanksgiving

I wanted to host Thanksgiving this year. I didn't want to travel because we would go up on Wednesday night (which is the worst day ever to drive somewhere.) Then leave in the early evening to come back because I had to be at work the next morning. Well that was before I found out I was pregnant. But most of the food was going to be made somewhere else and brought here. I think I was just doing the turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, and some other very small and easy things to do.

The Thursday before Thanksgiving, I was in the long process of getting ready to leave to head to the store. (My process is look at the ad, organize the coupons for the trip, feed Jeremy, change him into big boy clothes.) I had lots of shopping to do for our big holiday. My mom called to tell me about what was happening with my grandma. So in a daze at the store I just grabbed enough food for dinner that night because somehow buying dinner for 9.5 people was the last thing on my mind. So Thanksgiving was at my parents house. It worked out because I got to do a lot of what I do best: sitting around. I also got to selectively help in the cooking. That's the best way to cook.
Jeremy loves doing gymnastics while drinking water.

Oh look more sitting.

Grandma, Jeremy, and the cape. Jeremy can be a messy drinker. Thus he gets to wear the cape. Don't be jealous.

Jeremy's belly was having a rough morning on Thanksgiving. So he wanted to cuddle with mommy. He never wants to just cuddle in your lap. There is always cushions to stink up, jumping to be done, and attacking that NEEDS to be done. So I welcome a belly ache any day. #1 mom!
