2009 "Field's" Trip

On Friday, a smaller group than usual, ventured to the old Marshall Field's building for our annual Christmas tradition. It was very bizarre because we got in to see Santa without any REAL wait. I was actually looking forward to the line for a few reasons. First, Jeremy is at an age where all those decorations are fascinating (as you can see in a few of the pictures below that Jeremy is amazed by them). Second, was it was the one spot that I could let him loose without being as concerned. The poor kid was stuck in carseats, his stroller, and the highchair at the walnut room all day. But we got in line and only had to wait a few minutes.

Then we got seated right under the tree this year. Jeremy could have cared less about the tree because there was bread to be eaten and paper on the table to destroy.

I wonder what Jeremy's wish was this year.

All Jeremy wants for Christmas is not to be in a strangers lap.

The little stinker finally gave me a smile. I think he is getting to the age of having fun annoying mommy.

Look at all the room we have in line!
Can you tell which way the decorations are?
