Meaty

If you are a friend or family member, who probably know that my husband can't eat certain foods. If you are a random internet stalker, now you know as well. Anyway Graig tries to limit his intake of red meat. I love red meat. In Seattle last weekend, I tried to eat as much beef as I could because I knew that coming home I wouldn't be cooking any of it anytime soon. That created a problem because I ended up with nasty onion breath one day. But this post isn't about onions....

I do enjoy chicken but there are certain things that you can't really substitute it. Ground turkey is a good option. It's expensive. Plus it's even more expensive for ground turkey breast. If not, you are paying way more for more fattening stuff (I prefer ground sirloin). And it doesn't taste as good.

Already many things annoy me about this:
A. It doesn't taste as good.
2. It's a lot more money.
D. It's not even healthier.
But Graig does really well with it.

Turkey was on sale this week, actually turkey breasts. So I bought it and let it thaw in the fridge for a few days. Randomly, I have a meat grinder for my stand up mixer that came with the pasta maker attachment. After Graig gets home I plan on grinding some meat. I have to wait until he gets home because I really don't feel like having Jeremy standing up pulling my shorts the whole time.

If this works, Graig will have burgers, meatloaf, and who knows what other weird thing he will make. Conveniently I will be working 4 out of 5 days, so I will miss a majority of the food. Oh darn.
