Handsome Subjects.

Jeremy has no clue about gender.  Everything is in the masculine gender.  At least he isn't learning French where every object has a gender.  That is silly.  Anyway, according to Jeremy, "Jeremy is handsome.  Daddy is handsome.  Mommy is pretty.  Ben is handsome (but sometimes pretty). Twinkle is handsome."  I starting playing with different aperture, iso, shutter speeds, and who knows what else on my camera this weekend.  There is only so much football I can handle per day.  So here a few of my handsome subjects.  *I know they aren't the best quality, but I wanted to make sure to include EVERYONE.*

Twinkle is back on the blog!

My hands are full.

Literally they are full.  I haven't blogged in a while.  And before that it was sporadically (Cher Horowitz would be so proud).  I was talking to my #1 follower and she told me I really need to start doing it again.  My "fans" miss me.  And by fans I mean my mother, my mother-in-law, and my great-aunt.  There are several problems that lead to my lack of blogging.
A. I got a fancy phone that I just read stuff on the internet and not write things (when I do it all looks like I am drunk...like a skunk...which reminds me of another post I wanted to write).
2. I want to write about a particular thing.  Then something else happens that I also want to write about.  Then, shocking, another topic comes up I would like to blog about.  And then ultimately I just end up playing on facebook instead of blogging.  All while still feeling guilty about not posting about the 10 different things. I haven't even gone on blogger to read the blogs I follow because I didn't want to even see my blog.  Also, I still need to go back and delete old postings to clear up space since I am at the maximum.  That seems like work.  I am not a fan of work.
D. Did I mention my new phone?

Thus I have decided on a clean slate.  Maybe I will end posting a few things later on from the summer.  But probably I just will try to do my best from now on to keep my three fans satisfied.

Here's the real post:
I saw this pin on pinterst about bath paint.  Looked fun.  Plus shaving cream happened to be on sale for 37 cents a piece this week.  So it might be a fun reward we continue to do for a long time.
Jeremy had a blast painting the walls and all of his toys.  He particularly loved painting the bottom of one of his boats.  Graig enjoyed it because Jeremy didn't splash at all during the bath.

I made Ben his own set of paints too.  I didn't want to take the chance that they would have to share and it turns into a fight.  Ben enjoyed knocking the paints into the water.  He didn't seem to mind the shaving cream all over him either.
What a cutie.  I feel like we will be doing this again very soon.  Jeremy loved it and Ben just loves being in the bath!

I skipped a whole month

Actually more than a month of blogging.  Let's see what's happened since then.....a lot!  But I will catch up on that later.  Until then, you can admire a picture of my beautiful family from my cousin's wedding.  I'll find motivation soon.

Ben's Birthday Party

We are in the middle of a four day celebration of Ben's First Birthday!  Why?  Well his party was Saturday and we have to keep telling Jeremy that Ben's Birthday is coming soon.  Hopefully he won't get mad when we have our own little family party on Tuesday night party.  But the real reason might be that we have 4 days of cupcakes to eat.

Surprisingly, Jeremy could not care less about "Ben" unwrapping all his presents.  I was expecting a major meltdown.  He was too busy with his water fight to really care.  This morning he did keep asking for presents so maybe he just put on a nice show for the party.  Also, his Mee-maw and Pee-paw were here for the weekend to play with him so he was a happy camper.  Really Ben has no idea what are his toys, so we won't have to worry about Ben getting jealous of Jeremy playing with his stuff.  But Jeremy did tell Ben that several of Ben's new toys are Jeremy's.  Probably in a few years Ben will look at the 450 pictures we took (yeah I'm not exaggerating on that).  Then he will yell at me because he realized that they were his toys all along.

But we had a great party and really appreciate all the friends and family that came (and traveled to get here).  The weather cleared up just in time for the party and the kids (and adults) had fun playing with the water guns.  When we unwrapped presents, I made sure to leave the cards with the gifts.  By the time we got back to the house, we were all exhausted, except for Jeremy and Ben.  Then the boys got all into the presents and they were all over the house.   It's been a lot of fun trying to remember who gave Ben what.........

Breakfast

My little stinkers eating their breakfast the other day.  Notice that Jeremy loves to look ridiculous and Ben loves to smile.

And you can see Jeremy's hair since I had to leave in the middle of his haircut.  And this is the most "normal" smile I have of Jeremy.

Ben's First Haircut

Ben was due for his first haircut.  It was so long in the front, the side, and the back that I thought I could pull it back like a girl.  Here's the best Before Shot we have.

Ben wasn't thrilled at some random lady using scissors on his head.  He tried batting her away a few times.

Ben noticed the camera and was happy.  Then he also noticed the wheel on the seat he was sitting on.  Happy baby.

This is his After Shot.  I wanted to keep it long because he still has that soft thin baby hair.
Then it was Jeremy's turn.  He has thick hair and it was time for his summer buzz.

Ben seemed traumatized by the recent events.  He wasn't upset, but wasn't excited about looking like a boy again.
Jeremy is concentrating on looking straight ahead as he was asked to do.  Or he could be watching the tv.

Crawling! Part 2

Our lives have changed a lot since Benny figured out how to crawl.  He loves getting into all his toys, the dishwasher and also the fridge.  It has been fun trying to open those when he isn't looking.  I can't wait for Jeremy to realize that Ben's interested in those because he surely knows how to open them.
Here is Benny in the kitchen after finding a ring.  He loves throwing them and then chasing after them.  No, he is not a dog, he just enjoys challenging himself.  Also his hair is a little ridiculous, don't you think?

Here is my little stinker in time-out.  It's a popular place.  Ben often likes to visit him and play with him while he is serving his time.  Also you can see a few of my flip flops(the dollar ones) and my favorite shoes: my Asics.

This is what happens when your two year old throws all the toys on the floor.  Then the baby crawls in and scatters the toys all over the floor.  Sadly the toy box still looks full even with all these toys out on the floor.
The love to hang out together.  Jeremy usually wants to do what Ben is doing.
It's sad because Jeremy doesn't make normal faces when he sees the camera.  Where he gets this from?  Must be Graig because I always put on a pretty face when I see a camera :)
