We took the drive down there over 2 days (without a baby it should have taken us 12.5 hours). It was nice that Jeremy is on formula now because he could eat as we drove. Then we stopped at a rest stop and fed him some baby food. On they way back we left at 3:10 and rolled into our driveway at 3:30 this morning. Pretty decent considering we stopped to feed him. Poor Jeremy was done with the carseat. He kept waking up crying and kicking. But it's over.
We had a great trip though. I plan on posting some pool and beach pictures later. But Jeremy had fun exploring new spaces. I took a mommy vacation on feeding him. Well the real story is that Graig decided to feed him on our balcony. When I would go out there, the bugs went crazy for me. They didn't react to Jeremy or Graig. I went out there to put bug spray on (because who wants to do that inside.) I sprayed my left leg and arm. Then when I started my right leg there was already a bug biting me. At one point I counted 26 bites on me. Not cool. But it was cool how I got out of all those messy feedings.
The resort had so much to do. But we didn't do a lot of stuff. We went to the beach in the morning. Pool in the afternoon. Then the beach again in the evenings. In between we ate at the condo and Jeremy got into all sorts of mischief. He had the daddy bruise and also the mommy bruise. Those were named after the parent who was "watching" him when he banged his head on something.
We stayed in Alabama on the way down and Jeremy enjoyed eating in the bathroom. I enjoyed the easy clean up.
